Videogame Vixens 2nd Look: Bayonetta Glasses Makeup Tutorial

Hello my beautiful bloggers! I've been a very busy bee with school work and my Aussie relatives in the U.S. but I haven't forgotten about you guys and gals. :)  Seeing how popular the Lara Croft look was, I decided to create another tutorial but this time with a badass witch.  A what?  A witch! Here is the 2nd Videogame Vixens Tutorial starring Bayonetta.

Bayonetta is a very mysterious and seductive witch who tends to shapeshift, use firearms, and magical spells to fight against her foes.  The gameplay is similar to that of the Devil May Cry series yet the graphics are fascinating and high definition.  I personally don't own a PS3 :( but if I did this game would definitely be on my To Play List.  The facet that the colors of her makeup are very cool yet vibrant make her look very alluring and ravishing behind her dark spectacles.  This look is perfect for anyone who wears glasses or is going out to dinner on a date.  Either way, you will look simply "bewitching."

Products Used in this Tutorial:
Clinique concealer in 05 Medium Beige
bare Minerals foundation powder in Summer Bisque
Smashbox Brow Tech & Cream Eye Liner Palette
Ulta Eyeshadow (blue metal, midnight blue, and matte purple)
Victoria's Secret Eyeshadow in Blindlight
Ulta gel eyeliner in Black
L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara
Ulta blush in Bubblegum Pink
Victoria's Secret lipgloss in Toy

As always start off with a clean and moisturized face.  Fill in your brows with eyebrow powder or an eyebrow pencil. Use concealer to cover up dark spots and shadows on your face then use foundation to prep your face up for blush later.

With a baby blue eyeshadow fill in your eyes from the inner corners to the middle.  Take a midnight blue eyeshadow and fill in the rest of your eyes from the middle to the outer corners.  Blend the two colors together so that they will transition.  Now take a lilac color and apply right above the blue eyeshadows.  Take a matte purple and apply over the lilac eyeshadow to intensify the colors.  Remember to blend the colors together once you finish.  Line your eyes with a  black gel eyeliner and wing it out at the outer corners.  Be sure to curl your lashes and apply on a lengthening mascara.

Use a light pink blush on the apples of your cheeks and apply a nude lipgloss to your lips.  I actually ran out of my lipgloss so I opted for a pink one instead.  Either color will work.

So here is the final look:

I created two outfits for this look: one to recreate Bayonetta's outfit but more wearable for everyday and one for nightlife.

Videogame Vixens 1st Look: Tomb Raider's Lara Croft

'ello everyone!!! So a few days ago I was playing Tomb Raider: Underworld at my boyfriend's house (I'm a huge Tomb Raider fan XD) and all of a sudden I got this great idea.  Why not recreate looks from favorite videogame heroines and vixens?  And who to better start off with that the infamous Lara Croft.

Tomb Raider has been around since the late 90's and within every new game she looks better and better.  She has been a videogame icon since I can remember and I absolutely love each of the storylines and the game overall.  The games themselves are fun of puzzles and really require you to think outside the box in order to navigate around.  I so can't  wait for the next game to be released!!!!

Products used in this tutorial:
Clinique concealer in 05 Medium Beige
bare Minerals foundation powder in Summer Bisque
Smashbox Brow Tech & Cream Eye Liner Palette
Ulta eyeshadow kit (swampy/muddy green, metallic brown, and black)
Victoria's Secret Eyeshadow in Coffee
Ulta gel eyeliner in Black
Ulta eyeliner pencil in Black
Smashbox Lash DNA mascara

Ulta Bronzer
Ulta lipgloss in Dull Copper

With a clean, moisturized face and neatly plucked/waxed/threaded (whatever you prefer) eyebrows, use a yellow toned concealer to cover up dark spots and shadows.  Use foundation to set your face ready for eyebrow filling powder/pencil, eyeshadow, and bronzer.  Lara has a very flawless complexion even when she gets scrapped or muddy (yeah yeah I know she's a videogame character of course).  She has very defined brows so be sure to fill them in because they will be framing your face when you're finished.

Now with a muddy/swampy green color, fill in the inner corner to half of your eyes.  This will act as a base for the darker colors.  Go over the green color with a metallic brown color.  Then take a dark brown color and apply to your eyes from the other half of your eyes to the outer corners.  Blend the two colors togethers to make the colors flow.  Now with that same brown color, line the lower lashline with it.  This will give her a bit of a tired look from her.  Since Lara travels around the world for artifacts, she doesn't get a lot of sleep so by creating this effect it will make her look a little exhausted from her travels yet still active enough to shimmy across ledges.

Line your upper lashline with a black gel eyeliner and your lower lashline with a black eyeliner pencil (about 3/4 for the lower lashline though).  Take some black eyeshadow and go over the line you created for the upper lashline then blend with a Q-tip.  I like how she has a bit of a smokey eye to her look even when she is clinging onto a cliff for survival.  Curl your lashes and a apply a lengthening mascara.  Instead of blush, we're going to be using bronzer.  Lara has a bit of a tan going on since she is out in the sun a lot so you hardly see any blush on her cheeks.  Take a bit of bronzer and gradually build the color up on your cheeks.  For the lips I used a matte brown/copper color to finish the look off.

So here is the finishing look:

I even did her wardrobe to go along with the makeup.  Haha it was a lot of fun recreating her look.

Wardrobe from this Tutorial:
Tanktop from Body Central (size sm)
Shorts from Aeropostale (size 0)
Boots from Champs (size 7)
Backpack from Walmart

I plan on recreating more videogame vixen looks in the near future so stay tuned!

Going out with a BANG!
