Goto Maki EYES Makeup Tutorial

Good morning everyone!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Even though I'm not Irish, I still wear green so that people on campus won't pinch me. lol

Anyways here is the St. Patricks Day tutorial that I promised you all.  It's Goto Maki's look in her EYES MV.

First off, this song reminds me of Amy Rose from the Sonic the Hedgehog games.  Honestly, I think it'd be cool to use it as her theme if she were to be a playable character again like in Sonic Adventure.  I know I know random much? lol

Second, I really like the song itself. It's reall quite catchy

Third, since her makeup in her music video focuses around greens and silver I figured it'd be great to recreate it for St. Patrick's Day.

Products Used in this Tutorial:
Clinique concealer in 05 Medium Beige
bare Minerals foundation powder in Summer Bisque
Smashbox Brow Tech & Cream Eye Liner Palette
Ulta eyeshadow kit (matte green, silver, and cinammon)
Victoria Secret's eyeshadow in Limeade
Ulta gel eyeliner in Black
Smashbox Lash DNA mascara
Ulta blush in Pretty Pink

Victoria Secret's lipgloss in Toy

With a clean and moisturizerd face as your canvas, use concealer to cover up any dark spots, red spots, scars, and dark shadows on your face.  Use a powdered or liquid fountain to set your face. Your eyebrows frace your eyes so be sure to fill them in with either eyebrow powder or an eyebrow pencil.

Take a silver eyeshadow and from the inner corners of your eyes, apply it to half of your eyelids.  Next take a matte green eyeshadow and apply to the other half of your eyelid all the way to the outer V. Blend the colors together to erase any harsh lines.  Now take a lime green eyeshadow and line you upper lash lines.  Take a blending brush, Q-tip, or your index finger and lightly blend it out.  With a black gel eyeliner line your upper lashline over the green eyeshadow.  Don't worry if you make a mistake, just dip a Q-tip in makeup remover and carefully removes any mistakes. Afterwards, curl your lashes and apply on mascara.

Take a rosy pink blush and apply to the apples of your cheeks.  Finally apply a pink lipgloss to your lips and you're done. :)
And here is the final look:

I also played around with my wardrobe to fit her outfit in her video.

I really had fun playing around with the colors and wardrobe.  Instead of curling my hair like Maki's I used my new crimper and crimped my hair (will show in another tutorial).  I didn't have any green tank tops or accesories so I used pink ones instead which still went great with the makeup. I feel a little weird just wearing the bra, even though you can only see glimpses, so I wore a pink tanktop underneath.

Clothing Used in this Tutorial:
Bra from Victoria's Secret
Tanktop from Aeropostale (size small)
Earrings from Icing
Fingerless gloves from For Love 21

So have fun wearing this chique look today and I wish you all luck in finding a four leaf clover! :)
